You know i am so happy and mad at the same time.
I found out what the frickin problem is with my T18 conversion. And i feel like such an Ahole for it. I started the jeep up today and tried to put it in gear, well it was a no go. I put it in gear and started it and i can that horrible sound of the clutch plate slipping. I kept playing with it, and then one time i was starting it in while in first and had the clutch pedal to the floor, that horrible noise was going, then i let go of the pedal a bit and the sound went away and then i could shift into nuetral, then first and second. I guess if i push the pedal in too far it binds and i cannot shift. So all along i guess i could shift i just needed to not put the pedal in all the way. You know how much of an arse i feel like, i think i got gray hairs because of this . So i am extremely happy that i can put it together and take it for a drive, but ticked off that i put myself through this anguish by not trying that stupid little step.

Oh well, thanks to all who put up with my crap, and i think this is something to think about now if others have this problem. Oh well, i need a few beers and time to relax.

Man, i loosened up the slave cylinder on th efork and now i have to go back and redo the leverage on the pedal, i only have to step on the pedal about a quarter way and the clutch releases.

Yup, i really wouldnt think it would not go in gear if i pushed it too far, didnt think the metal would bend to bind the clutch disc.

Dan, I'll bet you could rig some sort of stop block on there so you can push it to the floor without it going too far.
