Was there ever a fiberglass hard top for Ecj

    Was there ever a fiberglass hard top for Ecj5 ? Nick has run across a jeep the supposed to be an early 5 with a fiberglass hard top with doors . Any info on this?

    Yes - Acme was the builder, IIRC. Not very common today.

    I had one, wasn't an Acme though. Made by Grizzly Industries, made somewhere in the South IIRC. Quality was OK, definitely not on par with an Acme top. Sold it a couple of years ago.

    Thanks yall , Ill let him know . I think he was hoping it really was an intermediate and the guy was off on the years so he could use the top on his 79.

    Intermediates and Early's used the same top. '76 and newer are different....

    I had two tops, sides doors were steel with a fiberglass top section. I got rid of both as they were in bad shape

    Well top is in perfect shape and the jeep won't bad either,It ended up being a 74 CJ-5 so it won't work on my 79 CJ-5. Heres a link, my buddy who has wanted a Jeep for a while ended up buying it for $800
