vin plate help

I am looking for a VIN plate for a 46 Willys cj2a. I purchased above with a title and it was previously titled and registerred but the vehicle has no vin tag. Any ideas if anyone reproduces vin tags or other ideas? I am trying to register in another state that needs to see vehicle and match title vin to body vin. My vin # on title appears to be correct for my vehicle per research I have done but 2 owners before me installed a fiberglass body and did not transfer tag or? I have stripped it to a bare frame, sandblasted and never noticed any #s on frame.

You can buy blanks on ebay and there are other places that carry them as well. Seems like beechwood canvas used to sell them. Look on ebay. I think I saw one in the last couple days. Your 2a should have had two tags on it. One data plate with a VIN number and a body tag with paint codes on it.

 

Mine is a replica plate and stamped with my serial number. It was done by the previous owner. Maybe a trophy shop?? I dunno

This one is $26.50 w/shipping --kinda high for something that weighs 3 ounces. Seems like I have seen these run $12 through another seller.
