Valve Cover Identification Tag

    Hey guys, I have a 1973 Jeep that was manufactured in May of 1973. I’m trying to return it back to as original as possible but am missing the tag that attaches to the valve cover. I found a guy that remanufactures theM but I want to know if the motors were assembled the same month as the Jeep? So would my Jeep that was made in May also have a motor that was assembled in May? Or were they be assembled a month or two prior? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

    It's up to the whim of Jeep at the time. I'd expect it would be the same or close. My Jeep has a December 1974 dash sticker and an engine with a 12/13/74 tag.
