V6 From Buick Skylark April 1987

    a new question from france :D
    i ve readen many things about v6 swap . but i don t understand evreything about engines (why i m not born on the good side of atlantic :confused:) . i can t translate some technical sentences

    i ve found for not a lot a money a buick skylark april 1987 , limited 3.0 .

    i ve found that the engine , is a ln7 .

    my question : like it s a gm v6 (Buick V6 engine - Wikipedia)

    can i put it on my cj5 with a t90 ?

    finding the right = bell housing , fly wheel and the kit for the t90

    That Buick is front wheel drive. I do not think the engine will adapt into your Jeep. You need one from a rear wheel drive car.

    The LN7 is a 3.0 liter V6 which is a short-deck/destroked version of the Buick 3.8. It was a front wheel drive variation made for that application, though there are 3.8 liter ( and 4.1 ) fwd versions that would be much more suitable for a swap. It is still better yet to find an engine from a rear wheel drive configuration such as the same year Buick Regal as all the accessories will swap much easier.
