Turn Signal Indicator Question....

    ON my Spartan turn signal the light is off until you turn it on by pulling the lever, it then starts flashing. The brake lights go from the brake light switch to the turn signal, when the turn signal is turned on the brake light is then run to the flasher to blink ,then to the light that is selected. Then the green light on the Spartan, and the front and rear light selected all blink, isn't that the way it is supposed to be?

    yup...it was just a bad flasher...as best I can tell the old flasher worked fine between the X and L terminals (outside lights worked fine) but didn't send any current out P terminal to the pilot indicator light? I think when it died it started continuously grounding through the P terminal and that was lighting up the pilot bulb all the time. Seems good to go now with new flasher...sparton pilot light only comes on when flasher is turned on. All outside lights and hazard lights also working.
