I want to remove the carpet and replace with a bed liner type tub coating. I am finding ones from Rust-oleum and Herculiner. Anyone have any recomendations ?

Ask on the autobody101.com forum. IIRC the SPI bed liner was the most preferred product, but it's no longer in production. U-POL Raptor seems to be the most recommended now for DIY.

X2 on Tim's recommendation for Raptor. The unique part is that it can be tinted to about any color to match the rest of the paint, and texture can be somewhat controlled by thinning. It can be a smooth orange-peel to fairly heavy texture.
It also washes clean better than most other textures because the finish is slicker than others.

you can tint it to match and if you use polyurethane paint you can spray finish over the liner after it flashes off for a perfect color match.

I used Herculiner on mine like 10 years ago, maybe longer, maybe not. PO had put butt ugly ORANGE shag carpet in.. And glued it down. What I like is that if I make any sheet metal changes I can buy a small can and match what's there.. But in retrospect I have seen some spray in systems that looked easy to apply..

I wanted a thick liner in my Jeep tub and had Vortex liner sprayed in. Cost about 200 bucks with me doing the prep work. It’s probably 3/16 thick or more, everywhere. I have tried the diy kits before on other stuff but it all was too thin for my needs. It does fade in the sun but seems pretty much indestructible. Washes well. I’d def prefer having it sprayed in as opposed to the diy kits. The product seems much sturdier down the line.
