My Jeep uses a flattop glass type windshield but has bottom mounted wipers. Kaiser Willys has replacement glass, but only for top mounted wiper applications. I have some doubt about whether the older glass will fit my frame as they say the glass they have is 12 3/4" high. I think that'll be about 1/4-3/8" too short.

---Could someone with a top mounted wiper CJ do me a huge favor and take two measurements for me to verify my glass should have the same dimensions as the top mount wiper glass.---

    1) The center to center distance between the rubber surround on the glass vertically.
    2) The distance between the center of the rubber surround and the top inside of the frame.

I have attached two photos showing my windshield and the two measurements I'm looking for. Please do your best to get as accurate as you can with a tape measure...

My last resort is a custom glass shop, but they're 2 - 2.5X the price...

You can see my newly painted, wet sanded and polished hood in the background as well as wet sanded fenders on my truck. Ungodly expensive PPG Deltron DBC President Red.

In case anybody is wondering what the two holes are for at the top where the top mounted wipers would've gone in earlier years, they're for windshield washers - hand pump on dash.

The two holes at the bottom are for the wipers. On the inside there are holes with plugs to access the wiper hardware from the inside.

    Thanks in advance!

Does that help? I also have an early windshield with the glass "in" if you need a different measurement, and loose early glass.

Regarding a late April 2020 install of glass & rubber from Walck's on a 1967 CJ5 with top-mounted wiper . As accurate as able = the center of rubber to center of rubber vertically is 13-15/16" and the top of frame down to rubber center is 3-15/16". The new install was a tight fit.

Thanks!!!! While I am not able to duplicate your measurement of 3 1/8" I am able to get 13 11/16 vertically. I get just under 3" for the former. So, it seems all Jeep did was to move the flat-top glass slightly higher, but keep the same dimensions... So, a KW windshield should work at hgalf the price of a custom!
