Please forgive my complete ignorance regarding the old military 'Jeep style' trailers, but I have a few questions. How hard are these get ahold of? I don't want anything in perfect condition (that would look silly behind my 'beater' Jeep). What sizes do they come in? I would like to get one that is large enough to hold my 4 wheeler (48" x 60). The more I see them, the more I want one to match my CJ5.

The total width of the tub is 48", IIRC, but there is a step in about 6" from the top and the floor width is only about 42". I can't remember exactly, but I doubt it would hold your 4 wheeler. Maybe a little custom trailer building is in order ;)

The Bantams are too small to carry a four wheeler - the bed of the trailer is less than 40" wide. The outer upper part of the tub is just 48" - I've carried 4 x 8 sheets of stuff sitting on top of mine.

The M416's are a bit wider but still not enough, I don't think, for your four wheeler.

Glad to see I wasn't totally making stuff up Mike.
