To expand on my description of how the hubs function the internals vary with design but the basic function is the same of course. The design of Fockers' hubs is a bit different than the old hubs we are discussing for example.

I was hoping that by seeing everything disassembled, he could get the general idea? Also seeing how it's just a bolt and go type of upgrade as you mentioned. Common tools and tires on the ground.

16 pages on your buildable is too much to try and find the trick. If I recall a number of times I've seen you teach me and others how to link directly to the post number on a thread. Do you have any idea an approximate page number/post line?

I'm glad you posted that, and I agree about getting the general idea. I just wanted to add exactly that thought, the general idea is the same even if the parts look different in different brands and styles. :) I didn't want my post to appear to describe them as being identical no matter the brand.

I believe he's talking about the pictures in his first post in the tutorial.

First post of the Disc Brake thread... Easy to spot, but here's the specific picture.

Tip - If you can't get the snap ring back on the axle because the axle's in too far...Grab a bolt from your parts bin, screw it into the end of the axle and pull with some pliers. Finish reinstalling the locking hubs and move to the brake hoses.

Found it. I was looking at the link on his posting which I now realize it to his full build and not the link to the disc brake posting. Didn't pay enough attention, saw a link and assumed it was where he was talking about. After reading a couple pages in that link, I gave up and said I don't have time to wade thru umpteen pages. My bad. Thanks Focker.
