shift tower might be fine if you take it apart and wire wheel it. You have nothing to lose with that and if it doesn't work out its an easy replacement.

that gear will work if you wire wheel it maybe. I would find another one. If it doesn't work out for you, you will be dropping the tranny.

Let me know when you start to think about a tool box. I believe I have one that will fit your rig that we pulled from a '74 when it got scrapped.

Alright so still haven't heard from the guy about my gears. Going to call tomorrow. Well rained out work so got some new tires from my buddy he had on his wrangler for cheap. Great tread and only bout yr old tires. Had to take my tires and Tim off my jeep and have his put on my rims. Didn't have a jack in the shop so had to use the engine puller to pick up jeep. When I picked up back the the rear right leaf spring hanger busted loose looks like it been cracking for a long time. So that going to be another project going to get my Trans and t case rebuilt. I think Ima pull the fenders and tub off while its apart and go head and fix frame and start derusting it. And fix all the brakes and all the other stuff. And here are the pictures for this explanation.

I skipped over about a page and a half of your posts, so forgive me if I repeat what's been said.

If you want to keep the T-15, I suggest you either buy a rebuilt transmission from Herm T-15 Transmissions | Herm The Overdrive Guy or look for another core. The T-15 was used in the V8 CJs 1972-75 and in the V8 Commandos 1972-73. It was also the standard transmission for V8 Jeep trucks and Wagoneers 1967-75 (full sized Jeeps, FSJs), and all FSJs 1976-79. The V8 FSJ transmission has a longer input shaft than the CJ, so you'd have to find a replacement input shaft if you used that core. The 6-cylinder FSJ T-15s are the same transmission as used in the CJ.

Buying individual gears is going to get expensive, if you can find them. You will be much better off to find a good used core or two and put together your transmission using their parts.

Well took the hood and front fenders off will upload pics soon. Going to be taking the fass tank off next to be able to pull the tub so I can do frame repair. And the plan is fix the frame and do some cleaning and prepping and painting of all the axles and frame and clean everything and make it better than new.
