The Rebuild.

So for 2 1/2 YEARS I have been rebuilding I guess you should call it, a 1949 Jeep Truck. It has CJ-2a underpinnings well except for the one ton rear end and suspension. I did everything myself, except the engine rebuild...and some custom machining. I did all the BAD body work myself (but its a Jeep...it needs dents)

I recently been able to drive it, and boy I don't know if I'll finish it...to fun the way it is. In reality, if I had 2 weeks of constant work, I'll be done. Now 2 weeks of that kind of work translates into about 2 months.

WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE:

Paint
Seats
Lights
Doors
Glass
and other odds and ends

the red is going to be the color the truck is going to be painted. Its the same color as a red craftsman toolbox

A little about the things I've done to it.

new suspension all round, 31s (MT/R), electric fuel pump, plastic gas tank, bed coated top and bottom of the cab....and went crazy with the stuff, also on the inside/ underside of fenders, hood, grill; after I finish it I have some other things I'm going to do to it.

well, im in the middle of painting the inside of the cab (one more coat ott'a do it) waiting for it to flash..

WOW! completely forgot about this thread I made for the flying hammer!!!!

well it is road worthy, but still need a few things to make it road legal.
