    Driving the Jeep around this afternoon. No difference in temp. And it was a pretty hot day.

    I've had one on my CJ for a few years now, never had a problem with temp that was related to the winch. I just bought a 8074 (same as 8274 but does not have the manual release) for $90 locally. Gonna mount on the TJ. I also went synthetic with my 8274 on the CJ along with an upgraded 6HP motor...love it.

    The one on the M38 was fully refinished and updated to the latest specs. The one on the CJ-3A was refurb'd mechanically using the old motor and cleaned up. They even managed to save the original sticker from when they were in Kent, WA on that one.
