Should be a date code on the tire.

Procomp has only been making tires since 1998, so my guess is that someone dumped it there after you moved in. About Pro Comp USA - Xtreme Alloy Wheels, Rock Crawlers, Pro Comp Wheels

there should be a date code starting with”DOT” near the rim. Last two digits are the year of manufacture.

As soon as it stops raining in Seattle, hopefully sometime in 2021, I'm going to go back out there and look for that date code.

I recently bought a 66 CJ5 basket case and the previous owner was kind enough to bag the hardware, but didn't label any of the baggies. I was able to identify most of them, but I can't figure out where these belong. They have a shoulder spacer on them and only 7, so maybe missing one?
Also, what are these brackets for? I know the front shock goes in the hole, but is the rest just for strength?
There's 70 pages here and you have not failed yet, so confident that someone recognizes them.

Noticed new things as i was finishing up my rock slider install.
Non-stock v6 mounts. Looks like they originally were made to fit buick front-dump manifolds.

Seems like the best place to post this... my 'what the heck is this' question is about my entire CJ5 I just bought. No title, but PO says it is a 1963 CJ5. Has original vin plate inside engine bay at least. Are there any clear identifies that I can look for that can help me identify which year this actually is? After tearing it apart, there are several things that are making me think this is NOT a 1963, or there are a ton of un-original parts on what started life as a 1963. Was able to verify 1952 M38 actually is a 1952 by looking through a M38 VIN/motor log on another site, just haven't seen anything like that for this model.

if it has a dana 27 its likely newer, as they were in a few '61s and 67 and up, but 55 - 66 are fairly similar except serial number (not a VIN). if you can post the serial number i can check it. i have a book :)

My bad... Got sick of arguing with police and DMV employees on serial numbers vs. VIN numbers, I got used to calling them VINs.

Here is a pic of the serial tag in the engine bay.

Actual factory production dates may not exactly correspond with the the sale and title date.

I have a 1957 dealer sales invoice and title for a CJ5 that has all 1956 production features, and a factory crayon mark of " '56 " on the firewall.

To throw onto the pile, I've got a Jeep that is clearly a '68 titled as a '69. I can never remember what year I should call it. If you see me refer to the '68 or the '69, it's the same Jeep. The '71 however is a different Jeep.

My 71 was built in April, 71 but is titled as a 70. I have shown the tag agents (Oklahoma's version of a DMV) several times the build date on the dash sticker but to no avail. I just gave up on it.
