So I am curious to what this is. It is located drivers side, bottom behind where the fender bolts up. And it has a button to the left of the dimmer switch.

Never seen anything like it. It would be interesting to know what the lettering says, and maybe google any identifiers or numbers.

Not original, and no idea! Is anything connected to it? What does the floor button do?

Nothing that I see connected to it. The button is seized up.

It's a Bermuda Bell, a novelty bell that JC Whitney sold at one time.

I'm working on my '68 cj5 project, installing the gas pedal and linkage. The clip is broken where the throttle rod attaches to the 2G carb linkage:

    Is this a replacement clip?

No, the clip you refer to is for the other end at the firewall.

The clip which you pictured in post#775 is not the clip in your included link. Is the clip below what you're looking for?

The ball and socket may be worn too. Might want to replace them entirely.

It looks like one side of the clip is broken off. I unscrewed the end with the socket. It probably hasn't been removed in the 51 years since the jeep was manufactured.

You should be able to buy a ball end like Dave B shows, then use it as-is or take the clip from it. I have not seen the clip available separately anywhere.
