Been bugging Nate for a while to part with this and he finally saw fit in his heart to let it go. Its old nickname was the Jalopy, so I see no reason to change it. It went to a good home though. Starting reconstruction after the CJ6 gets done, oh and M416. But I will do some here and there in between other things. I did separate the tranny, TC and overdrive apart today. But I have to stop there, or nothing else will get done.

It has a Dauntless inside the engine bay, PS, PB, T90 with Dualmatic OD and you can see the Overdrive is very clean and damage free. I'll be picking away at this.

A few years back I was injured at work and had just finished my last 46 build. Its been killing me, that I had to sell that one so soon after finishing it, so its been bugging me ever sense. this one may not end up the same as my last one, but I want it as close as I can get it. Off to a good start with the drop pedals, PS, PB though, saves me a ton of fab work. My last 46 CJ2a build. This one started off as my yellow avatar.

Dana 18 is awaiting the Novak master kit. Overdrive lever is Chrome. Kind of neat, never had a chrome one or even seen a chrome one before. I'm think I am still installing the T90/Dana 18 for now and then using the T-18, Dana 18 big hole for mocking up the early CJ5 frame later, to go under the Jalopy.

Also, the Jalopy is up on its own now. Have sourced two narrow track 30 fronts, one drum with disc conversion and one Disc brake that's missing a hub and bearings.

Ok, so I called AA today and went ahead and ordered the bell housing for the T18/Dauntless conversion . Going to run the T18 right now, instead of waiting to do it later. Nate had a T18 in it and the clutch and pressure plate is still in it with the right pilot bushing. I have a super 18 TC, which is what I need for the T98 adapter plate on the rear of the Ford T18 I'm using.

There are pictures over in the debris section. Comes with a good Ford small block bell housing.

Finally had a couple of hours to give the Jalopy some love today and yesterday. Got to spray some primer on it today after doing a little welding on the bottom side yesterday. primed the bottom yesterday and figured I get the top done today. It aint pretty, but its pretty solid for its age. Going back and forth between 2015 Tank green or OD green. Fenders and hood and grill are already waiting to go to color. Frame is sand blasted and in primer, so there is some movement, but now that the 68 CJ-6 is here, this one has been slowed to a crawl. Motor and tranny and T-Case is good to go. I am going to be giving the oddfire a fresh coat of paint and new gaskets.

The red oxide was kind of shinny, but today its nice and dull. Put a lot on and it takes a long time for it to really hardened, but its a pretty rust resistant paint. And besides, you see it isn't a show rig. Hate to use expensive primer and paint to just knock it back off. :sneak:
