For hex dies, Snap On makes a nice tee handle. As for round dies I don’t own any so not sure where to get handles for those.

I bought a U-pull replacement transaxle for my Mini Cooper, and the moron at the yard used an air chisel to remove the drain plug, rather than the 8mm allen.
Long story short, the threads got messed up, just enough they need to be chased with a tap. No problem. Went to my trusty set of Snap-On taps and dies, metric side, and I have 16 mm and 18 mm in both 1.25 and 1.5 pitch. The plug is 17 mm x 1.5.
So I try to buy one. Almost no one out there has them except from China. A couple US suppliers list it, but they are all out of stock. I found one, but between the tap price and shipping, its nearly $60 for one tap.
I ordered one from China for less than $10 delivered, in about 2 1/2 weeks!

I got some McRuff suggested. Been very happy with them. Always worked great. I also got a set of thread cleaners from Craftsman. Like taps but does not cut, only reshapes and cleans what is there. Works very well to clean threads and not cut more.
