Does anyone have a better solution to this? I have the mount in the link below. Bought it brand new; but the bolts stripped as I was tightening on to the transmission crossmember. This has happened twice... A bit fed up.

Sorry to say, but Omix parts are not known for quality. I try to avoid that brand if possible. I have used aftermarket mounts, but always try to make sure that are "made in USA".

Yeah, @Keys5a I'm right there with you on Omix. I keep away from mist parts by them just haven't found a transmission mount replacement that works. Omix seems to be the only brand that makes this style mount.

Looks like 4wd.com lists a T90 trans mount. Crown makes it.
    Don't know about the quality.
Part No. JA006156 not sure if this is for the right year

Willys Jeep Parts lists some as well.

    Hope this helps.

Are they metric thread ? Trying to figure out why the threads would strip ?
Not that much torque required on those.

If that's the correct part, A6156 is the Jeep PN, from the WWII era. Transmission / Transfer Case Insulator Mount for 4 Cyl. Engine, fits Jeeps with T-84, T-90 and T-86A Transmission You can easily find other sellers using that number.

If it's a Crown part, the Crown USA warehouse is in Marshfield MA. You could call and ask about the part.

As Jim wrote, I would make sure I had the right thread type and pitch, trying the nuts before it goes on the car. Make sure you aren't trying to put a coarse USS nut on a fine SAE thread, or vice-versa.

I have had the wonderful experience of Omix parts being metric (and uber cheap) before. Ended up throwing out the gas pedal and only using the mirror head.

Crown is usually good stuff. Never had a problem.

I haven't bought this mount new for many years, but the last one was Crown branded, "made in USA". It also had a molded casting mark of an anchor in the rubber, I assume showing manufacured by Anchor. I don't know if they still are made the same.
Check out eBay item #3029 3531 8991 for about $20.

Thanks, all. The last omix mount I bought actually came with the nuts so unless they supplied me with the wrong ones, I assume they were correct. I was under the impression Crown got their parts from Omix and re-branded. Sounds like this is not the case which is great.

Circling back on this. Are there any other t90 mounts besides the omix and crown? I'd like to get a bit more lift and after adjusting the angle of my crown mount, one of the threads have stripped. I'm over the bar mount original style. Would rather put a chunk of steel there...

Unsure if anyone has tried this yet but I'm giving the below a test run.

Basically a copy of the original transmission mount. Here you can see them side by side. 2 3/16 bars sandwich 2 body mount bushings. These may end up being too rigid so they may be changed out later. The thickness of it all is 1 3/8. Just a bit thicker than the original mount but I needed the thickness for my engine angle. Made out of 2 pieces of 3/16 x 3" steel bar, top cut to fit between the transmission plate bolts and 2 body mounts.

If you have advice or concerns, please let me know. 2nd pic has loose bolts; they have since been tightened and flattened down...

Looks like it might work, the urethane body mounts are pretty hard though. I think I got my mount from 4WD.com. I have had my trans and transfer case out two or three times since first completed, leaks and rebuild transfer case, it looks good still. Good Luck.

See if Energy Suspension has a mount that fits. They are good quality and made in the U.S.A. I used it on my 5 and have liked it
