I assume something like this has been made at some point. I'm wondering if any of you guys have a line on something like this. To clarify, I'm wondering if a flat cover exists for the T90 case. You pull the shifter out, and wanna put a lid on the T90 so junk doesn't get in it. It doesn't have to be strong, but ideally would be solid. Just something so I can move it around without rust/dirt/whatever falling in it. I can use cardboard, but that isn't ideal.

Column shift units had flat covers, Good Luck finding one though.

I made one out of 1/4" plywood one time.

How does his question lead you to believe he's a proponent of a secret society that clandestinely controls the world?

No, that would be "Masonite!" not "Masonite."

I was thinking exactly something like that. I got a buddy with a CNC. I'll have him make a few out of HDPE to match the gasket.

My side shift transmission covers are too hard to come by for using as storage covers. Just trace a T90 top gasket on any appropriate material you can easily cut and drill 6 holes in.

Why not make a clear cover out of lexan then make a clear floor pan cover out of lexan also?

I was thinking about this approach, but I think I'll make a decent hard plastic, gasket-shaped, cap.

I had used cardboard just during the tranny install. Perhaps consider making a cover from a polyethylene chopping board. I've found it to be durable, easy to shape and not brittle. I recently made some replacement powerseat glides from that stuff.

I made a cover out of 1/8" aluminum, a downed road sign, it comes in handy as I had to pull my trans again. I made blanks to cover my engine block for painting too, it is easy, trace the gaskets out cut them out with a saber saw, or band saw, drill them and you are done. Works great, Good luck
