I just finished the power steering conversion on my 66 CJ5 and now would like to replace the large bus style wheel.

Would appreciate input or opinions on style and sizes......what do you like and why?

Go to a speed shop like Summit Racing or Jegs. They will have a large selection to pick from. See something you like and go for it. Wouldn't go too small though and you won't want much of a dish. I like the school bus wheel myself. I left mine on when I did the power steering.

one of the things . that I considered when I did the steering swap on mine was . the sparton turn signal switch had a cancelling wheel that touched the hub of bus steering wheel . worked most of time except when wet . went with a junk yard column . with newer turn signal built in . now if I would have kept the ross column , I would have kept bus wheel too

I think the adapters for a Grant wheel have a flat surface that allows the cancelling feature to work.

14" Grant GT has been the perfect wheel with my IdidIt tilt column.

What column is the OP using? IMO an aftermarket column (Flaming River, Ididit) would be the best choice if you want to get rid of the bus wheel. The Sparton turn signal switch is pretty lame, if you don't have the bus wheel.

Personally I like the bus wheel, but that's been said plenty of times here. If you want the bus wheel, an intermediate or postal column would be the way to go, with Saginaw... I'd think. No personal experience with them.

My issue with the bus wheel is the distance between the wheel and the seat has got smaller as I have aged......

My cancel feature on the spartan doesn't work anyway. Thanks for the suggestions I will do some web shopping
