I did the conversion to my 57 CJ5. Will the pics help? I used an Iddidit column. I can post pics if a 57 CJ5 is similar enough..

I took a saginaw power steering box from another jeep. Put a tilt column from a 70's wagoneer in it.. I tilted the column's bottom end up to take less stress off the joint.
    I have a $100.00 into it complete!
    This is a 2a on a 69 CJ5 frame!

I thought he had a "kit" incl. a bushing to modify the Ross column?

Posted pics of everything I think is in the Herm kit ... let me know if you have questions:

You have flexibility as to where you want your column to go through the firewall ... you just have to figure out what works for you. As a starting point, I am going to try to see if the stock firewall hole works ... and then look and see if moving the column through point up farther on the firewall might work better. Don't know yet.
