    My starter on the 55 f-head just sh*t the bed is there a good place to pick one up at? My local NAPA store wants $165.00 for one!!!

    Are there any starter, alternator shops around by you? They may be able to rebuild it cheaper. What's wrong with it? winding bad, or is it the bendix gear? I was able to get a new bendix for mine for around $60. Works like new after that.
