Check out my custom built stainless dash. CJ style made to be bolted to a YJ tub. I had them press three extra studs into the bottom flange (pointing up) as extra ground points.

I will have to go in and cut out the oval holes for the defrost ducts, the YJ does not have these and I didn't trust the guy to do it. A brief exam ination shows it should be a very good fit.

Made be a guy that sells stainless dashes on ebay.

Hope I am not to off topic.

Cost was 245 including fedex 2nd day air (because I am in a major hurry to get this done and also finish the v6 build for my -5 and get it installed and running for shipment!!). Pricey, but I got my YJ tub for $100 so I use that as my excuse that I am still in budget (yeah, as in "is there enough left over for a haircut and some food?.....OK, I can afford more Jeep parts!)

The guy sells them on ebay for a lot cheaper, some around 120-150, that is standard 76-86 CJ.

I'll take some pics of the install to help demonstrate why I really considered this piece a neccessity for the swap (yj tub onto cj frame).

I may consider painting it whatever body color I settle on at some point. Never been a big fan of the stainless accessory look, but the rampant rust monster here in Hawaii has made me come to the conclusion "if it can be replaced with stainless, and it needs replaced, go stainless".
