I'm planning a trailer build. I am going to make it 4' x 6' with a plywood camping box and roof top tent. I'm going to use 15 x 8 wheels and a straight tube axle. Need suggestions for spring packs to use. Thanks.

I used a stock set off a CJ7. Odd though, when i installed them i was surprised they didnt have much weight capacity, i need to add another leaf to stiffen them up, but worked out well.

The secret to running Jeep springs on your trailer is to run shocks. I built a BBQ using the axle from a FWD Chrysler mini-van and was surprised as well at how bouncy and soft they were with a LOT less load than a mini-van. I would run the same springs as your Jeep has if you have access to a set used.

I built a utility trailer arround a torsion axle from a boat trailer. It made for an easy build but it is bouncy. I'm guessing the axle is rated for about 2000#, a lot for the 6'x10' trailer. It did make for a nice low bed also.
