The speedo in the flattie works but it bounces very bad. Is there anything I can do to help it so it will be a little more accurate??

Usually a sticky cable does that. Lube the cable up.

If you are gonna grease it, pull it out first, then grease it. If you see so much as one broken strand in the cable, figger out a way to replace the cable itself. The broken strand will eventually get caught up in the sheath, and then you're screwed. You'll never know if you have a clean sheath to put a new cable through.Don't know if it is even possible to replace just the cable anymore, but I swear it used to be...........

Lube the cable, also there is a little hole just above where the cable goes in to the actual speedo where you can place a few drops of oil. You can unscrew the two wing nuts and remove the speedo for easier access or use a mirror and stand on your head.
