    Have not taken apart yet. Got bigger problems I think. Did a post here I'm Thinking Funs Over. Will have to wait til get back from camping / work trip to Durango.

    I didn't realize it was supposed to self cancel, since mine didn't. After a quick look I could see why, the little contact wheel wasn't touching the steering wheel. So I slid it up so it just touches and now it works! Thanks!

    I figure a self-cancelling turn signal is a modern contrivance almost unneeded on these Jeeps. :p
    Was this self-cancelling turn signal factory-standard ever since the first CJ5 rolled off the assembly line?

    First jeeps only had single rear left tail light so no need for T-sig.

    So how did others tell if you were turing right or left or stopping?


    Just joking, I know they could tell by the direction of the front tires.

    Yeah, while in the midst of a turn, maybe you can tell which way someone is going but you are not supposed to sit at stop lights and intersections with your tires pointing in any direction except straight ahead. At least that's what I learned in Driver's Ed. [​IMG]

    Driving topless, it's so easy to hand signal but what kind of buffoon is going to even notice that when he's too busy playing with his cell phone??
