I'm starting to collect the parts to rebuild my T-90 over the winter and I know I need a replacement second gear. Knowing how bad the quality control can be on some of the offshore Jeep replacement parts, does anyone have a good source for tranny parts?

I was leaning toward buying the T-90 and D-18 rebuild kits from Herm, but I didn't see any other parts listed. If Herm stocks other stuff, then I'm all set.

Call him and ask (don't email). He's probably got them, or at least would know who does.

good time to switch to a 3.34 1st. gear. Only available in short shaft for 4 cycle. You'll like it, I ran one until my 225 v6 motor swap. I may still have it kicking around.

Good idea! I'm not sure exactly what my tranny came out of, but it didn't have an e-brake assembly or a provision for one. The PO said it was from a wagon though. Did the wagons and pickups have the driveshaft-mounted e-brake? Also, were the 3.34 first gears only in the pickup version?

    Steve,

I use a guy down the road from you for everything, www.walcks4wd.com . Use the phone also with him, I don't think he does e-mail. He also has a 2A and knows them well.

I've been told the 4 cyl. trucks had the low 1St. gear. My orig. '55 226 wagon did not have T.C. E-brake. I believe CJ's where the only ones. please don't quote me. just trying to help and I'm not an expert. good luck.
