I can't figure out what's spraying on the firewall, ruining my repaint.

Is it dry? Have you tried running the engine for a while for a sign of something leaking, maybe the wind from driving blowing whatever on there?

I don't think it's from the loom. It's dry and I just noticed another spot lower. If you look above it you can see spray cast off. I was thinking engine heat, but it's isolated to the one area.

    Fuel line?

I think I'll tape a piece of paper to the firewall and see if it gets saturated with anything.

Is there a leak in your nitros piping (NOS) spraying on the firewall, desolving the paint?

I know what it is. A cat peed on your firewall.

Is there anything over-heating in the interior side of the firewall?

I can see the counterclockwise spatter around the worn off paint. Is that paint on the firewall or something else? Looks like it has a texture to it like a bedlinen material.

I'm sure you'd smell it if it was gas. Is that a temp sending unit there in the picture? Not that I've ever known coolant to destroy paint but, that's the only thing I see in the picture. Brake fluid would likely do more harm than what's shown.

 I didn't think of that, but I just looked and thankfully no, there isn't.

It's the forbidden bed liner and yes that's the temp sensor. I don't see any other signs of coolant, but now that you mention it, the sprayed surface is a bit oily.

The strange thing about it is I've already repainted it once before.

So, the liner is fairly fresh? I don't know. I can't really see coolant doing that but maybe.....The spray pattern of the offending liquid has me puzzled.

Is that a rubber fuel line I see....back against the firewall?

    Not fresh.

Yes, the fuel lines are routed as factory. I inspected the clamps and tightened them some more.
