I don't know if my CJ has a certain kind of soft top, but it is a pain in the @$$. Never stays on, and can NOT be done by one person. Did the makers honestly design soft-top to be such a b****, or is mine just satan itself? Fits a stock '73 CJ5....i believe make is bestop? Tell me if you know what i'm talkin about.

Nope, TJ soft top fits nice. :D

Seriously. What kind of problems are you having?

You should be able to figure it out. If it's the correct top it should stay on. Bestop makes gud stuff.

Yup, I agree w/ Sparky. I've had my Supertop for 7 years, and have loved it. Even up to 90 mph. Once.

gahhh...i envy y'all  And my CJ tops out at like 75 mph, it doesnt really like nething above 55. ok er anyways, the snaps(there are a majillion of them) honestly do not look like they were designed to fit each other/jeep. They do not go together well at all. And above the doors, there is velcro. i mean, wtf....and u can only get the velcro to come together on one side or the other, and if u get enuff wind movin thru, they rip off neway. Also, on the side bars, there are 6 holes to raise your support bar for the top. You are supposed to put it in the highest 6th hole, but I have to cheat and put it in the fourth or third hole to even give myself a chance of fastening it. It just all over does not want to go on me car. GAHHH!!

It's best to do it when it's warm outside too. Softens the material for better stretching. Your snaps might be worn out. Is it the they don't stay fastened well? Of course velcro does tend to not work to well once it's been cycled on and off a million times too.

Used to be that Quadra Tec had the best prices on Bestop, but I'm not sure anymore.

I've got a Bestop on my 72 and I've never had a problem with it coming loose but it does not snap down it uses the rail system around the back of the tub. I do agree that warm sun helps and that getting the front of the top into the channel on the WS frame is a real pain.

The Velcro that flaps over the top of the door rail IS a major PIA. I've employed a couple medium binder clips from Office Max and clamped the flaps on the cross-rail. It keeps the flaps from un-velcro-ing (new word :D), even at 80MPH.
