Small Hood Notch

    What is or was the purpose of the small notch on the bottom edge of the hood on the drivers side and the corresponding cut out in the fender lip and is this a carry over from the M38A1?

    Yes. For the black out lights as I recall I was told.

    I thought it was to put your finger in to open the hood.
