    Hey Everyone,
Well here comes the questions again.

What in your oppinion is the best shock out there for a stock 68 CJ5. I am looking for something that is going to be the best compromise for on and off road. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks Dirty

Because we usually don't drive fast for long distances on really rough roads I don't think shock selection is very critical. You do need the dampening for highway driving and medium speed on gravel for example but the shocks would not tend to heat up and have fade problems.

This is just a long way of saying that a cheap shock will work about as good as an expensive shock for most of our rigs.

Having said that, it's worth the time to cycle the suspension and get min & max lengths figured out before shock shopping. You don't want your shock to limit travel up or down.

    YMMV
