Seeking specific spare tire side mount carrier bolt-hole location info/measurements

Hi all,

Well looks like I have secured the requisite hat channel and baffle, (pending from CJ5/442 THANKS!!) and I got some good shots of the bolt locations for the side mount spare tire carrier from montanacj (THANKS!!) but I am wondering if anyone's got a write up with inner fender and outer fender photos, bolt location measurements, tips for correct installation etc for a CJ5 side mount spare tire carrier.

I really want to do this right and I am starting with a clean rear fender, and no inner fender supports so I need all the help I can get.

Already sold myself on this, no fears of snagging the tire on things etc, if I do, shame on me, I think it is such a good look it is worth the risk.

I think I can do this too Matt ,I can just lay some paper on the old fender and use a pencil to mark the holes ,and index it off the body lines...... bracket is no problem but the hat channel I still need to work on . I installed my fenders without removing that brace and now there is no way to get my spot weld cutter in there ,,,,,,,I will look at Hazel"s red tub and see if that one can be used .

If you get the wheel house baffle you should be able to back drill from the four holes in the baffle.

Sounds good CJ5/442, you're going way above and beyond! Thanks to Scott as well, Scott do you have a shot from a little further away to help orient me?

OK so translations:

3 and 7/8th is to the lip not the top of the fender, and 7 and 7/16 is also to the lip?
And 11 and 1/8th is hole center to hole center?

1.yes just hooked and measure to CL
2.No, first measurement is 4 3/8 and then 11 1/8 on the run off the center lines that are crooked (the 7 7/16and 7")
