    Hi,
    Can anyone identify these seats?
I am interested in getting new ones as the mice/rats ate through them. You can see their portal on the drivers seat..

I would also like to get some more space for the driver. I am a bit cramped.

I’m not tall, but I have a relatively long torso. I ended up getting kirkey aluminum seats. Even being hard aluminum, they’re surprisingly comfortable. And because the aluminum is so thin vs a traditional seat, I actually need to slide the seat forward to get in the most comfortable driving position.

they also make covers for them if you want something that looks more traditional. CB936AB9-4693-4A4F-9934-3353E37A6372.jpeg

Those are stock '55 - '64-ish seats. I'd say those were recovered at some point, there are upholstery kits available someplace as well as spring sets. I recovered mine myself using stock pattern vinyl from SMS Fabrics.

As for room you don't get any better than the ones you have but you can move them back a bit, search here for "Boyink notch"

Cool looking seat. My jeep is a bit of a rough ride so I am thinking about some padding.

I did see the notch, and it might be something I do later on. I am 6' 220.
Are there any seats that you can buy that line up with the 64' mounting locations?

I found these smittybilt seats that look similar. But it looks like I have to fab up some mounting brackets for it.

The smitty & other aftermarket seats don't have the springs like the stock ones which adds a lot to ride comfort, they were designed that way as stock jeep suspensions tend to be on the stiff side. There's no aftermarket mounts available that I'm aware of & by the time you build mounts most people find they end up sitting higher as, again, the aftermarkets don't have the springs that compress down.

I'd say the notch is you best plan.

I've got some in my '69. The driver's side is a bolt-in but I had to make brackets for the passenger side to fit the original hinges and latch.

I can take some pictures of the passenger seat brackets and post them up later today.

A word of warming about those seats, I'm of a similar weight and had one of the springs pop loose. The other two were on their way. I've got them re-hooked and jury rigged with zip ties for the moment. When I have time later, I'm going to heat and bend a better hook on them. See this post in my build thread: Old Red Maintenace Thread
