    Floor supports going on tonight.
Got the tub reasonably straight on the frame. Slid the floor supports between. Lined up the floor support holes with the mounts on the frame. Tacked them to the tub. All went together pretty easy.

Just need to weld it a bit more tomorrow.

I’ll definitely do some test sections. The firewall is about the only thing that I haven’t sanded and primed after painting with rattle can.

Floor supports all done so moving onto fuel tank and tool box.

For the fuel tank I only needed to get strap worked out for now. This should work. I also welded the nuts to the bottom of the tub for the tank and back part of the driver seat.

I’m going to try to move it outside tomorrow and give the inside a light coat of bed liner.

Put the tub up and started with the YJ spring conversion. This is the Rocky Ridge kit.

My first step since the pages were not numbered or stapled.

It took a couple hours but nothing very hard.

Got both rear spring mounts installed. Kit uses stock shackle mounts so this seems like the hardest part of the rear.

    4... 4 is after 3 :D

You are making this kit look easy, everybody else seems like they've had all kinds of small issues to overcome with the install. Great job.

I’ll certainly post the rest of my experience as I get it done but these pieces were really easy. I’m sure it helps that there is no body or engine to deal with. This is pretty much a rolling frame. The drilling and cutting on the inside parts would be lots harder with the tub in the way.

Rust converter is amazing stuff. Before and After.

    I used Rust Sergeant.
This is before I even put paint on the frame

Baby steps. MILs Birthday so a few minutes after dinner.

Small issue with getting springs mounted. The bushing were about 1/16” wide. Only took a couple minutes to shave off a little on the inside.

Still a little tight I beveled the bushings a tiny bit. Pounded them in easy enough.

I put another coat of primer on and put grill away until paint day.

Here is the 87th pile of old dirt and rust.

The frame paint is done also. Hope to finish installing the YJ spring kit this weekend.

We flipped the frame over and it's even easier to cut and drill now.
Photo of the front spring mounts.

If i was to do this again there is a couple things I would do different than in the directions. The directions call for careful measuring and drilling and cutting off the old spring mounts - completely not necessary. Cut down the old spring mount just below the old spring mounting hole. Don't drill new hole until you have the new spring mount is clamped in place. Then mark the center of the new hole thru the new spring mount. Remove the new mount and drill the holes.

Next is the front shackle mount.

This was the hardest part as the mount didn't just bolt up without modification. See where we had to cut the front off the old shackle mount. We also had to grind a bit on the new shackle mount to get it to fit flush. The total misalignment was less than 1/2" before grinding. This took an hour or so extra time but no big deal.

I'll post another photo soon but a biggest hassle was in the fact that I had boxed the frame up front here and had the bumper mounted with bolts to the outside of the frame rails. The new bracket also is supposed to be mounted to the outside of the frame rails. Solution was to use the right bracket on the left side so it is now mounted to the boxed part of the frame inside the rail. We kept the bumper mounted on the outside. One of the bumper bolts lined up almost exactly with the shackle mount bolt holes so we just drilled out the shackle mount and used the same bolt that holds the bumper on. Another of the mounting bolts I will have to buy a longer bolt and drill thru the frame and the bumper mount to complete.
