Just to ask, have you verified you have the 2nd bracket clutch cable bracket that goes on the outside of the driver side frame rail? It looks a lot like the one that has been modified and mounted on your transmission - maybe you could repurpose that one back to its intended placement?
FWIW - I found one from member here, post a WTB add in the classifieds. I think jpflat2a had posted specific part number for this kit of brackets?

After taking the frankenbracket off I see that the PO cut the cable end off of original bracket and welded in some stock to make it longer. No clue as to why other that he had the wrong cable? Pretty sure all I need to do is cut that piece out and weld the two original pieces together.

Just to ask, before you get to far changing stuff:
    1) is that a T14 with OEM set up with v6 and D18?
    2) you might want to get some measurements between the bracket and clutch fork, as well as the length of the current cable...need both length of the inner cable and the sleeve...in other words verify everything is as it should be/OEM set-up.

After some cutting and grinding I think I have the original bracket. Will need to tack and weld it back together.

After pressing out the front studs, the new ones won't hold in place. Wondering if I just trashed the hub?

What are the dimensions of the studs? I ordered a replacement stud and had the opposite problem; I couldn't get the stud to press IN!

I doubt you hurt the hubs, you just don't have the correct studs. I've had the same problem but I have no idea which studs I finally got to fit.

Not sure, I'll take it over to O'Reilly and see if they have different sizes. I made the mistake of buying all 20 new studs, the rears worked fine.

You could measure the hole diameter in the hub. Then go to the Dorman web site and look up wheel studs. Using their filters you should be able to determine what stud you need. The stud you need will be I think 7/16x20 and with the filters, you can select overall length, knurl length and diameter and threaded length.

I'd love to hear what you find out, as I've read conflicting reports of the studs being .618" and also .622". I'm in the market for some longer studs
Yes, that's what I'll do, however the only tool I have for the job is a set of calipers, and I figured it would be a bit too difficult to distinguish between a .608 diameter and a .614 with that tool. Maybe I'm wrong...

O'Reilly wasn't much help, all they could find was the original part, 1/2X20 (not is stock of course), but was no help in identifying another size like 5/8X20 or 9/16X20. The Dorman site has it as part number 610-032. Still searching.
