Jared I used borgeson joints for the stearing just the plain steel ones that you have to paint.
In the garage and intro forum there is more pics of my jeep in the thread new here great site.
On the PTO joints I am not sure if you post a thread I am sure the other guys on the forum will help you out.

Any decent tractor dealer, oh and "Tractor Supply" doesn't count, they carry some but usually not a decent selection.

Has anyone used the steering box mount that Herm the overdrive guy sells, or one that is similar? It uses a ford reverse steer box that mounts above the axle on the inside of the frame on the drivers side. It's said to be able to be mounted without major frame modifications and is more forgiving on the frame since it mounts in a stronger location? I am curious because this looks like a pretty nice option over the typical saginaw boxes mounted on the fronts of these already weak frames. I was considering it for our Willys, but some of the saginaw set-ups you guys used look pretty decent too...

I'm no expert on this, but I understand that the 'reverse' saginaw setup will not work in an F- or L-head Jeep due to the engine mounting plate being in the way. Herm's kit was designed for the V-6 crowd I think....

I did not see any of them braced to the other side of the frame. I going to run a rod from the bottom of the box to the other side

The P/S was already installed when I bought the CJ5. There is a small notch cut in the left motor mount for the shaft from the column to the box.
