I’ve got just the factory manifolds with short side pipes that terminate in 20” glass pack mufflers (duals) with turnouts on the ends. It sounds good at idle and if you stand dead center behind the Jeep, it’s music.

I’d like to see how you’ve got them hanging or attached from underneath if possible. All kinds of options exists I’m sure; strapping and standard exhaust clamps but I’ve never seen anything off road, Jeep-specific or something I’d want to emulate...yet. :)

I have a hanger that is attached to the frame and a tab welded to the top of the turn-out with a piece of rubber strap in between. ARP stainless bolts for header collectors and stainless T-bolt clamps on muffler.

First off, Mike great looking Jeep. That is about what I have. The PO mounted a rubber strap above the turn out to the body. When I do the frame off I will be taking a brace to the frame where it should be.

There are small turbo type mufflers that fit really well up under the side of a Jeep. The biggest problem with cherry bomb type mufflers is that with out a tailpipe on the other end of them they burn out in short order just leaving you with straight through pipes.

My JEEP had turbos on it when I got way back when. Thrush made them maybe????? I forget. And I don't really recall what it sounded like back then. Not terribly loud I think. I remember someone saying it sounded like a pissed off bumble bee though.

I run FlowMasters now. It's loud. Not as loud as the MagnaFlows in the video I think but, throatier maybe.....deeper.

Why is that exactly? Is it because the extra steel placed after them dissipates the heat better? Give me your knowledge, o wise one! :)

I do and also an a average of 207 psi of compression. The PO had a healthy engine built. She pulls good.
