My hose from the air cleaner to carb finally gave up the ghost. Since replacement hoses are of such poor quality I'm going to replace the cleaner with a dry element cleaner --

Anyone have a dry air cleaner setup and some part numbers for it? K&N ????

I'd go paper with an oiled foam wrap. K&N is too porous for a Jeep. I have seen oil analysis results with high silicon when using K&N filters.

I have an AutoZone special on my J10. It's chrome, and rusted within a couple of months. Now it's Aluthane silver, and not rusty. It's an air filter ...

True the replacement hoses are junk.
But what about finding one used OEM, NOS, or rigging some other alternative flex duct?

If nothing else I would look at the aftermarked stuff at AutoZone or O'Rielly's or simular and see if one of those hoses could be atapted to the oil bath cleaner and the the carb horn.

DO NOT BUY THIS PART REPRODUCTION! !!! I bought a repro it literally had rips and tear in 2 weeks the size of nickels. And looked like weather cracked tires.

I bought a Nos hose that came in original willys motors box and have been using it a year already and still looks and feels like new and pliable.

Exactly. My 50 year old OEM is fine . The Walcks part collapsed when installed, and fell to pieces in two weeks.

My original one was pretty tired so I adapted aftermarket hose and then wrapped it with black electrical tape to reinforce it. Looks and works fine!
