Well I'm afraid the time has come. I am putting my R1 up for sale. I am finding that I am not able to go for rides with the wife because it is too difficult for her to get in & out. I am going to move on to something more age appropriate.

This is an uncut, unmolested original with 23,000 miles. I am the 4th owner including my brother who purchased it for me.

The changes / improvements I have made over the years are as follows:

New Poly body bushings & new bolts
New Poly spring bushings & bolts& U bolts
    New Rancho shocks
    New fuel sending unit
Delco HEI distributor out of a 1975 Buick
New 12 circuit fuse block & wiring
New plug wires & spark plugs
    New oil pan gasket
    Radiator rebuilt
    New hoses, belts
Rebuilt transmission & transfer case by Jim with Eagle racing
Serviced/rebuilt front axle by Jim with Eagle Racing
New clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, clutch fork, surfaced flywheel
New upholstery from Jeepster Guru installed by a local upholstery shop
New Best Top Supertop & bikini top
5 matching Kelsey Hayes 15x8 steel wheels
5 New BF Goodrich 31/10.50 All Terrain TA tires

I also have OEM Jeep logo keys.

I have amassed quite a collection of OEM manuals & other items for this Jeep which are not necessarily included but are negotiable.

I would prefer this to go to someone that will enjoy it for what it is & keep it stock with improvements rather than sell to someone who wants to cut & modify.

I love pictures as much as the next guy & recognize how important they are to a good ad but I am sort of challenged by the picture thing on the forum. I will be more than happy to email pictures. I will keep trying though.

Don't be scared off by my asking price. I need cash to purchase the replacement. I am asking $9500.00. Let's talk.

Drool nice very nice. Good luck with the sale. If I bought this it would certainly lead to divorce lol

Although if I sold two of my jeeps maybe I could bring this home :) the addiction is real

    Nice jeep!
Just to ask ... and more information is always helpful to potential buyers:
I don't see a model year listed. I think those side hood marker lights were a short production as they quickly moved down on to the side of the fender - like maybe only 1969?

Also, what is the axle gear ratio: 3.73 or 4.88?

1970 Renegade 1 was a single production year. I will add more specific details this evening.

The Renegade 1 trim package was very specific. The only thing that varied is the axle ratio. This one has the 4.88 axle ratio.

I agree. Go for all the money on eBay. You won't find a person who wants to hack it up after paying that kind of money. Heck, maybe even Barrett Jackson? I know you'd get it on that bringatrailer.com site and they bring top dollar.

Those are likely original. Did you see his mustang collection? All low original mileage. I don't know where he finds them, but he does.

For a moment I considered punting my two jeeps and buying your renegade. Nice jeep I'm sure it'll find a good home.

My dad is interested in your renegade, he said he spoke with you the other day. He's just concerned about shipping to Texas because he's never arranged anything like that before. He would be the perfect buyer for you as he doesn't like anything modified. Also he used to have a blue R1 so I think it's kind of nostalgic for him. If anyone can give me some shipping leads I'd appreciate it.

Well, Texas jumped off. I'm still looking for interested parties. I'm happy to entertain questions.
