Recovering Commando Seats

Does anyone know of any place that has original looking seat cover kits to recover Commando seats?

I could not find any, had a shop do these, about 300.00.

Well, I ended up taking mine to a local shop. I got them back last week. They came out pretty nice. I didn't notice when I picked them up, but the they did the tops of the seats a little different than original. That bothers me a little but I had already paid,signed, and taken them home before I noticed. It wasn't until I looked at the before picture that I realized the difference. I guess there is nothing I can do about it now, but they still look really nice. Here's the before and after pictures. Oh, the seatbelts were restored by Sharon's Web (http://www.sharonswebinc.com/) and they are perfect.

What about the Pin Stripe seats? I need mine recovered.

 

Check with the upholstery shop on what materials are available. Usually they cannot match the original fabric exactly, but they may have something in the same spirit as the original fabric.

 

rockauto.com has seats.

 

SMS has almost any fabric you can imagine. In my case they were a PITA to deal with, but eventually I got exactly what I needed.
