I pretzled my only bigger puller trying to get the 9" drum off the rear. Seems like a 3-arm puller isn't quite the right tool for a yoke anyway...

    Any suggestions for a replacement?

    Re: Recommended Yolk Puller

The one I have at work is an OTC... The three "arms" bolt onto three wheel studs, and has a large "nut" that screws onto the jack screw, with flats to hammer the nut with a hammer....... Boy, that sound professional......

Would you use it on a axle yoke thought?

Give it a shot, can't hurt much can it?

I'd be interested in knowing. Always nice to have less "Specialty" tools and more "general purpose," imho. I hate buying tools for only one job (though I will if I have to).

Now onto the brakes....after some food...

still confused about which yoke you were talking about.

    was it the d27 yoke?

i use a craftsman puller that you can use as a 3 arm or 2 arm. it's a little small, but has always done the job on pinion yokes. i use the 2 arm version for this also.

    your're almost there now!

Yes the D27....I knew there were two sizes and sure enough I had one of each. Got to put the big 'un on the Jeep though...;)

I tried my 3-arm, but it just wouldn't engage the yolk well enough to get a good bite.

    We be rolling!

Not bad brakes..speedbleeders make a one man job out of bleeding...but you still can't pump and watch for bubbles at the same time. I just ran a couple MC full through each wheel and hoped for the best. A bit more pedal travel than I want, but I can lock 'em up if I stab it hard...;)

Good enough for the weekend anyway...

All day tomorrow to work on it yet...mainly have to set the toe in on the mechanical side. Aesthetically I'm slapping the old hood back on and will try and paint my corners tomorrow.
