rear PTO

    Most did not pick up on it but the pto unit you have is for a trencher unit. The brake drum should be of the type with a ring gear simular to that of a flywheel ring gear. The little mount to the right would have had a gear that meshed with the brake drum and slowly drove the driveshaft to the wheels moving the jeep along as it trenched the ditch.

    Here is the simular assembly for a mower to show the missing piece but would not have the extra rear yoke.

    There's a CJ5 with a PTO auger that I've seen around the county. A PTO assembly is quite versatile, but if you can't get your motor going you're out of luck. (think winch on overturned rig)
