Not trying to sound like im sponsored by napa but they have the right u bolts as well. I used them on my rear axle and they should be plenty long enough. The ones i got were usa made and came with thick washers and tall nuts. Unfortunately i didnt save the box that listed the sizes and part numbers of the ubolts.

This ought to be fun the local napa store is kinda lost when ever I go in with something old. So I try and go in with the part numbers already printed out. So all they have to do is look them up. I went in one time for a radiator fin straightener and they didn't even know they had them....

Measured my 3B and CJ5. Both have 2.5" lift springs, CJ5 has 6 leaves and 3B has 5 leaves (different brands).

Both have u-bolts that are 6.5" long.
Both have u-bolts that are 2.5" inside (approximate, very close) thread to thread.
Add 3/8" inside for the one larger u-bolt.
    U-bolts have 7'16" shank.

I think 7 or 7.5" would be a good choice for length, definitely check the minimum thread length you will need.

6.5" would probably be too short.

Those are Napa numbers. I made that list back in about 2006, it’s missing now in the tech stuff. I can reload it later but essentially all of the data is in his post.

They are still on the vehicle. I'm more than likely going to have to cut them to get them off. I'm just trying to get me parts together before I take it apart.

I agree with getting the parts first and matching them up before pulling it apart. With the way it's sitting in the picture it should be easy enough to measure them. You should be able to confirm 2.5" inside thread to thread, 7/16" shank, and whatever length you need, taking into consideration the u-bolts have to be long enough to get the nuts on since the curve of the spring will hold it away from the pad some. :)

    Here is that list again:

Here are the relevent part numbers from NAPA, for U-bolts that would be used on most Jeeps. My local NAPA actually carries most of these in stock.

    NAPA part #'s Thread Ø / Axle tube Ø / length

    650-4082 - 3/8 x 2.0 x 4.0 long
    650-4079 - 7/16 x 2.0 x 6.0 long
    650-4012 - 7/16 x 2.5 x 6.5 long
    650-4023 - 7/16 x 2.75 x 6.75 long
    650-4026 - 7/16 x 2.81 x 8.0 long
    650-4075 - 7/16 x 3.0 x 7.5 long
    650-4022 - 7/16 x 3.12 x 6.75 long
    650-4076 - 1/2 x 2.5 x 8.25 long
    650-4003 - 1/2 x 2.88 x 7.0 long
    650-4077 - 1/2 x 3.0 x 11.75 long
    650-4028 - 1/2 x 3.0 x 8.0 long
    650-4001 - 1/2 x 3.13 x 6.50 long
    650-4014 - 1/2 x 3.25 x 9.0 long
    650-4002 - 1/2 x 3.50 x 7.50 long
    650-4025 - 1/2 x 3.5 x 8.0 long
    650-4053 - 9/16 x 3.0 x 7.25 long
    650-4078 - 9/16 x 3.25 x 8.0 long
    650-4036 - 9/16 x 3.37 x 7.0 long
    650-4041 - 9/16 x 3.37 x 8.0 long
    650-4034 - 9/16 x 3.37 x 10.0 long

The Rancho kits are actually cheaper on RocAuto.com and they are specifically sized just for the axles. Not a generic one from Napa.

So if I went to Napa it looks like I will need seven 650-4012 and one 650-4026. I'll have to look in to the rancho also.
