Im getting ready to find a radiator to put in my cj2a. Just wanted some ideas on what will fit best? Im running a buick 231 EF. I would like to find one that fit and not have to have one made! also, i really want an aluminum radiator if i can find one that will fit! Any ideas??

a 65/66 mustang 289 radiator fits my 60 cj5 damn near perfectly. its got the inlet and outlet both on the passenger side which works perfectly for my buick 215 v8 install. you can get these radiators in 3 or 4 core design. if they can cool the hi po mustang/shelby v8s they should be more than adequate for a buick v6. i paid 114 bucks to get a brand new 3 core model with warranty to my door on ebay. you can probably find them in aluminum too.

Do you have pics of the mounts you used for the mustang rad? I have one in my 2A/225 but the mounts are crude.

sorry, no pics of the mount. i just bought the radiator a few weeks ago and have yet to mount it up. dimensionally it is VERY close to the original F head radiator. should be a very simple mount to fab up.

I ran my stock one too for a year or so, but it needed work on it and I wanted an aluminum one anyway. It did cool OK while it was in there.

jeep geek, If your still looking, try a 1980 Chevy Monza. I bought a new one for under $200. and am very happy with it. Width is smaller than frame rails, connections are right and I don't have a shroud. It has never gotten hot while crawling in 100 degree weather.
