I have a couple different questions.

I am loooking for a vacumm diagram on my 73 jeep cj5, that has a304 v8 motorcraft Carburetor

The push rod came out of my master cylinder,I put it back in and now the brakes are really firm,I barley have to touch them to work and it does not come back,I have to pull it back with my foot,Any idea of what the problem is,the brakes worked fine before the push rod came out

I would like to put a new frame on, what years are compatible for a 73 cj5

I cleaned my carburetor and left the carb the cleaning solution to long and turned the carb white with flackey stuff on and I am afraid that it got into the jets and airwways,Any idea on how i can reclean it,I tried diffferent cleaners and gas nothing worked.Any ideas

    Thank You in advance

Vacuum diagram - I don't know of one on the net. '73 is pretty close to '72, and there's a TSM (technical service manual) on the net at C104.net. I'd suggest you get a copy of the TSM for your Jeep, available from www.thejeep.com or at www.books4cars.com

The '72-75 frames are the same.

The white stuff is aluminum oxide. My opinion - it was already there and when you removed the grease and oil, you could see it on the aluminum surface. I use a brass brush (like a toothbrush) to remove it. Solvents won't dissolve it. Take the jets out and clean the passages with compressed air.

Welcome from Boston! Post up in the Introductions section and say hello.

I'm thinking you'd want a frame in the ballpark of 72 to 75, but someone with a lot more knowledge than myself will chime in on that.

As far as the carb goes, tear it down and rebuild it. It's the only right way to do it. If you just tanked it, you've only broken down all the nasty stuff caked all over it and through it. I'd all but guarantee that it's all plugged up.

Just to be thorough, I hope you did not use the hot tank solution shops use to clean engine blocks. That would be bad. Those solutions are caustic and will dissolve aluminum. You need to use cleaner made specifically for carburetors, either a dip can or spray-on. You can do a pretty good job with spray-on cleaner, although it won't be as pretty as when the dip is used.

1972-1975, definitely. What's wrong with your frame?

You might need to check the retaining clip on the firewall end of the M/C. It could be broken or bent no allowing the rod to seat properly which in turn would keep it pushed in a small amount. That would cause the touchy brakes and if it is bent out to the side of the bore it might not allow the piston to come back to the proper position. :)
