As you may know the Willys PU truck series began installing the 6.00 X 16" wheels in the early 1960's. These wheels were specifically intended for use with 7.50 x 16" tires. Yet again: Kelsey Hayes was the manufacturer. Note: these early Willys PU / FC wheels are not the same as later Gladiator wheels which are also 6.00 x 16". These early (pre Gladiiator) 6" wide x 16" KH wheels have the disks rivotted to the rims and not welded like the Gladiator wheels. Anybody have one to measure ? As you know a KH wheel assembly consists of two main parts. The rim and the disk. Because this is a 6" wide rim it should measure 7" overall width. What I want someone to verify is the amount of "inset" of these wheels. Or the distance from innermost portion of rim down to where the drum sets on the inner disk face.
