Looking to get a value on a complete PTO set up that was removed from a '47 CJ2a
    Includes-
    1. Shift Unit mounted on transfer case
    2. Ppropeller shaft
    3. Shaft drive assembly
    4. Pulley drive assembly

Appears to be in good condition but 2 of the 4 ears are broken on the Pulley/drum attachment

Any input is appreciated- I can send pics if it helps.

    Thanks

best bang for the buck is to sell it piece by piece on ebay. the pto unit price depends on what model it is. they go from 100-300 . I dont know enough to value the rest but the drum units I think go for 250 ish also . not sure about the shafts

It is all about which model pto is it? What is the condition of it. A common one that is worn out may be worth next to nothing while a rare one in good shape can be several hundred dollars. For the most part the market for a pto is shrinking by the day and do not bring what they did even a few years ago. As stated above, the internet and Ebay are your friend as they are next to impossible to sell locally on Craigslist.

In June I listed a really nice Koenig pto with driveline and rear gearbox on Ebay and it only bid to $390.

As discussed here in the past, prices seem to be dropping on PTO items. But you may find someone who needs exactly what you have.

My brother sold 2 complete units about 6 months apart for $800 and $900 each. These were the types that bolt to the model 18 tc and go back to a gearbox that you could attach a farm implement. He cleaned and painted them and made sure everything worked. I bought a pt1-j dual output, shaft and 8000# winch for $175. Hard to say what the values are with that spread. My brother and I think that the tc units run $250-400. Shafts with blocks $100. Rear case $250-350. Dual outputs are more. Complete setups are easier to sell. Condition makes a difference. The guys that bought my brothers knew what they wanted and my brother knew what he had. The young fella I bought mine from needed the cash. I know this posting is a little old but wanted to give info for pto's anyway. I hope this helps.
