Has anyone orederd a engine kit lately with oversize pistons?? How close to EXACT were the pistions to whatever size overbore?? Reason I'm asking is the pistons wont be here to early next week and I HAVE to bore the cylinders this week if I want any chance of it making it to windrock.....

I'd go by the factory spec + the overbore size. I'd think you could overcome any small amount of tolerance mismatch via honing.

With that said, I'm hoping that some of the machining gurus here will chime in...

well, I'm no machinest! But, evertime I try to rush something it goes wrong. And what the factory says and what some piston manufacture does are two different things, there are two many plus and minuses in tolerances to take a chance. If I was machining it for you I would not garranty the fit with out the pistons being available for me to measure first. With the high cost of building an engine I would wait and make sure it was done right.

The good thing is I'm doing all the machining so its not costing an arm and a leg. The block is all mounted in the honeing machine right now so its kinda frustrating that this is all thats left and then she's ready to put back together.

Get the pistons first, measure them, then bore it. Don't rush it, you'll likely hate yourself later.
EDIT: If you really NEED to go to Windrock, see if you can borrow an engine from somebody.
