    Hey all. My 65 is now in pieces as I'm attempting to repair the rot and replace the patches with solid floor. But the body mounts that go behind the floor riser are gone and I'm not sure exactly how they should look.
    Anyone have any good pictures showing how thay are supposed to look?

    Here is what I'm looking at:

    I had some rot in that spot. Not near as bad as you have in the pictures. I took 2- 24 inch long 3"X 3/16" angle iron and bolted one on each side to mount the new floor and lower floor skid plates under them to. The I used a section of strap steel to bolt to the angle iron and to the original frame mounts for the body. Sure is stronger then stock and looks good from the wheel well. You can jack my jeep up off the side 12 ga floor pans now no problem. Mark

    My 59 was also very bad in the step area.

    <ready for new metal>

    I decided to insert new rust fodder from Classic Enterprises: passenger floor panel and full width riser. The riser was reinforced at the body mount locations.

    <new riser in place>

    Here is one. Ignor the part of the floor that sticks down below the frame. ;)

    Thanks!
    Now yours looks like that angle is straight across. For some reason, mine looked like the mounting area dipped down a little lower than the rest making it a little harder to fabricate.
    Anyone else see that?

    It does dip down the picture doesn't show it. The Classic panals came strait I had too bend them up a little to match the angle of the frame.

    Here is a drawing of the panals. Go down to CJ5.

    From Classic Enterprises, both the floor panel and the step (riser) had the same dip at the frame attachement location.

    i would put a vertical stiffener on that mount, as my tub pulled the sheetmetal away from the frame.
