Allright, I took the distributor with the pertronix out of wimpy when I did the engine swap. Coil, plug wires too. THought I had the pertronix wired up right, red was on the negative, black on the positive. Thought I hooked it up just like it was. I can't remember if I even took the wire off the negative side... Did I get it wrong to begin with? I switched it red to + and black to - but nothing there either.
Both the donor and wimpy's engines ran fine before the swaps, and now with the distribotors swapped, I get no spark at all.

Did I fubar my pertronix??

    :hurrican:

Guess I should add, I get 12V at the coil. Can't see any spark at the plug though.

Well, after putting the old distributor with points back in, and  re gapping the points  , it sputtered and eventually fired up. I have the timing waaaaayyyy out of wack, but at least I know it runs now.

As far as the pertronix goes, I know the points hook up to the negative side of the coil. Does the red on the pertronix do the same thing?? then the black lead goes to the other side with the ignition power wire?

Don't feel like swapping them again, but maybe once I get the timing issues fixed, I'll try again once I know it should work.
